I once mentioned to my dad, that when I look up someone who I think might be jewish, because they're doing jewy stuff, and they're not listed as jewish, most of the times it lists their religion as
Catholic, Episcopalian, Lutheran, or Methodist
And he observed that those are all pretty much some of the more mainstream denominations of Christianity, and are more centrally managed (iirc)
