I recently bought a Lenovo T480 and I want to use it for very light gaming and work. Anyone know if I made a mistake in my purchase?
Specs: Lenovo Thinkpad T480
1920x1080 display
Intel Core i5-8350U
Nvidia MX150 2GB
16 GB of RAM
512 Nvme SSD
14 inch IPS Display, 250 Nits
Backlit keyboard
People online complain about the screen, but I am just hoping it’s not so bad that it’s a garbage screen like you see with laptops under $500. I don’t plan on graphic design though
I’m off to do some international traveling soon, so any small amount of genuine good news would help me from being nervous
Good RAM
Thanks
I mean
I always find it funny when people want some kind of sophisticated opinion about a laptop
They are pretty much all the same, unless you spend >1200€
I just want to make sure the screen isn’t garbage. Maybe the IPS helps?
Have you used it yet? @Mr. Byzantium
Most online reviews will be harsh
@Wrath Has yet to be shipped
So are you saying over exaggerated?
Yeah
Big oof
Gimme a bit and I'll tell you my thoughts
Okay
Whats the resolution on the screen
Oh
Yeah nah you good buddy
250 nits might be a bit of a pain outside though
I know mine hates being outside
What is your computer?
The matte display might help with outside. I know glossy hates the sun.
Dell Inspiron 15 gaming
Mine is a matte display too, it's just being in the sun overpowers the screen brightness
You'll be fine in shade
Ah
Mine btw
Why are people so harsh on the T480?
People are harsh on everything
Made me worry a lot and that I’d have to resell 😂
If you have a good experience with something you're less likely to write a review
Considering the star rating on it and looking at the specs, you'll be fine fam
