@jdavani in terms of raw caloric burn, weights are unparalleled for losing weight. For my own weight loss, I did 8-15 reps depending on the movement for three sets. After weights I'd hit cardio for 15-20 minutes. This was every other day. On off days I'd walk I'm the morning for about an hour
Weights>cardio for fat loss. 1 hour of weights is far more calories burned than 1 hour of your typical cardio
Most importantly however is that you have a good healthy diet, training only does so much and it is *very* difficult to out train a shitty diet
For tricep extensions, should one use dumbbells or barbells?
@Lord Humungus I’ve already lost a bunch of weight. My diet is helping me a lot. I’m a year into weight loss and I’ve lost a significant amount. Just wanted to double up
@jdavani maintain whatever you are doing brother. In my experience it is not sticking to something that you lose the most
@Astro it depends on how you are doing them. For myself if I am on my feet I used dumbbells or plates. I prefer the EZ bar if I am doing them sitting down or laying on my back. Don't use a straight barbell myself for it.

Def dumbbells then. For me bars are to really overload the muscle, and that isn't very wise to do with tricep extensions standing up. If you can get a bench once in a while look at Jeff's variation of a lying tricep extension here. It works a not oftenly exercised head of the tricep, very useful to fill up your arm size.
