It is due to global warming
GLOBAL WARMING IS A CREATION OF ISRAEL TO MELT DOWN PALESTINE
Tbh, while I wouldn't choose to finance Israel, I also don't mind them fucking Palestine because Palestinians are worse than Jews
Israel is a good distraction for the savages in that part of the world
Climate change is hilarious though
people throw a fucking fit when I say "why worry about whether or not I believe in climate change when I'm advocating for solutions that would fight it even if they're for different reasons"
Like, yeah, I think we should transition away from coal, not just drop it and fuck everyone stuck working in that industry, and I think we should invest in renewable energy where it's practical, just for the sake of immediate environmental pollution
Whether or not we cause climate change, I do support efforts to clean up the fucking garbage patch the size of Texas in the Pacific
but the moment you start proposing concrete *and* practical solutions people lose their shit
It's either "literally just fuck everyone who works for a living in all these industries and only use hemp to build anything" or "Guess the whole fucking world is gonna burn unless you give (((us))) complete control of your life and property immediately"
"WE NEED TO STOP OUR RELIANCE ON FOSSIL FUELS WITH A MUCH MORE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT SOLUTION"
"Well, Nuclear power is probably the next be-
"ABSOLUTELY NOT, YOU FASCIST"
Fucking greenpeace backed the left into an eternal corner on that one
Alright I might as wel ask here
What are your thoughts on Eastern Philosophy?
Does it hold value as a moral system?
i like a lot Lao Tse
In the old days some of it especially Confucianism had distant roots in the same middle eastern philosophies that produced modern morals
Interesting.
I just bought *Christ the Eternal Tao*, looking forward to reading it
It's way too easy to corrupt good doctrine with oriental vagaries, there are good seeming ideas in some of it, but reduced to its basest the best you're left with is heresy
My wife is native Chinese, I've vacationed there a bit. God and Jesus are common knowledge there but most people know little to nothing about the Bible or basic requirements of Christianity
They know you shouldn't steal or kill, but they don't know you have to go to Church on Sunday
The religion of the ancient period, like Roman era, was almost identical to Abraham.
The "border sacrifice" to the Sky Lord, Lord of Heaven, Supreme Lord, etc, there are various translations
上帝, shangdi, a lot like El Shaddai
There is a minority group there, genetically they're just like any other Chinese but they have their own unique customs, I guess kinda like Amish people in the US.
Strong oral tradition, and for THOUSANDS of years they have retold a story of their people who originally descended from a family of eight who were on a boat when the entire world was flooded.
From "dirt" to Se-teh, Lusu, Gehlo, Lama, Nuah, who sacrificed a buffalo to God
Very interesting. Thanks for that @Deleted User
Perhaps my effort is better elsewhere. I just really enjoy the simple-mindedness, inner peace, and such of Eastern Philosophy
The aesthetics too, not to sound like a weeb
The compatibility of one with nature is very intriguing to me too
I'm assuming, hoping you are a Christian. As long as you are solid in your faith then I think it's beneficial to read about others. Because we will always be challenged.
Wasn't there some heritage sites in China with paintings of a Palm Sunday procession?
Christianity had been in China longer than anyone realises, I think.
Staunchly Catholic, I've strayed some but I am trying to get back.
Yeah that's a lot of the reason I say be cautious, inner peace shit is deceptively evil if you're not doing it biblically. I'd recommend looking into the monastic traditions, and the pitfalls they faced. A lot of demonic shit happened to monks who weren't adequately prepared for the solitude and tried to seek that peace anyways.
There is a Nestorian Church there from like 640 AD, has paintings on the walls inside from the Bible
I always viewed that the closer a civilization is to the Logos, the more advanced it is.
