How far is Krakow?

2019-01-10 21:29:03 UTC

55 minute connecting flight

2019-01-11 04:45:55 UTC

@TheImperator so my doctor had no idea what I was talking about regarding the black mold

2019-01-11 04:46:26 UTC

So he didn't find anything wrong?

2019-01-11 20:17:55 UTC

@TOES (SURPLUS BINGUS) From Vienna go to the Melk Benedictine Abbey. It's only about 1 hour and 30 minutes (depending on the connection). I would skip Moldova although it is the poorest and thus one of the cheapest of the countries in Europe.

2019-01-11 20:18:44 UTC

Go to transistria xD

2019-01-11 20:19:35 UTC

Probably a very interesting experience. Actually being interrogated by some KGB agents has it's charm i suppose

2019-01-11 20:20:32 UTC

Ikr?

2019-01-11 20:21:07 UTC

Just wear a picture of Stalin on your T-shirt

2019-01-11 20:21:23 UTC

And unironically call everyone "comrade"

2019-01-11 20:22:45 UTC

Would sort of work, i think. Altough saying that you like Putin would also do the job.

2019-01-11 20:22:57 UTC

Oh and be sure to speak Moldovan not Romanian ;)

2019-01-11 20:23:36 UTC

With some extra Russian words for good measure

2019-01-11 20:23:57 UTC

That's actually sort of retared as Moldovian is literally Romanian in Cyrillic. Moldovans are just Romanians in denial. Just like they are actually Latins in denial.

2019-01-11 20:24:23 UTC

Yeah

2019-01-11 20:24:27 UTC

I'm well aware

2019-01-11 20:25:06 UTC

Though Romanians are very distinct from other Latins today

2019-01-11 20:25:42 UTC

They are Romance speakers just like a whole part of Europe.

2019-01-11 20:26:22 UTC

I used to have a really good Moldovan friend. He had a very hard time trying to be Moldovan and not Romanian

2019-01-11 20:27:17 UTC

Being Moldovan just means being Russia nized

2019-01-11 20:27:23 UTC

Really

2019-01-11 20:27:44 UTC

The distinction is artificial. True, the Russian influence is and was much greater there than in Romania proper

2019-01-11 20:28:05 UTC

There's nothing unique about it. It's just a creole of Romanian with a Russian twist

2019-01-11 20:28:25 UTC

Yeah, Moldova was part of the empire. Walchia and such were not

2019-01-11 20:30:21 UTC

You know that if Boris I of Bulgaria wasn't a pussy and said no to the wanted expulsion of Latin missionaries by the Byzantine Emperor, the Romanian people (or Vlachs) would be Catholic. Also the Bulgarians messed up a lot for them afterwards.

2019-01-11 20:30:55 UTC

As Boris I specifically wanted missionaries from Rome

2019-01-11 20:31:09 UTC

Many of them ended up Greek Catholics anyway

2019-01-11 20:31:13 UTC

In Romania

2019-01-11 20:31:21 UTC

Their heart is with Rome

2019-01-11 20:31:24 UTC

:)

2019-01-11 20:32:01 UTC

The soviets got rid of most of them though

2019-01-11 20:33:32 UTC

True but the inherent Byzantine Rite is sort of not fitting for them as the ROC (Romanian Orthodox Church) is the only Romance speaking Orthodox Church. That should somehow ring a bell that something is not alright. The Roman rite (which was is and will ever be in Latin) is much more appropriate.

2019-01-11 20:34:38 UTC

I suppose.

2019-01-11 20:34:52 UTC

Sadly we can't change history anymore

2019-01-11 20:34:57 UTC

Nope

2019-01-11 20:35:02 UTC

What done is done

2019-01-11 20:35:41 UTC

Although the Romanian state and the ROC are literally destroying Romanian Catholic churches.

2019-01-11 20:35:58 UTC

Or at least taking them from Catholic hands

2019-01-11 20:37:03 UTC

That's because most of the catholics in Romania are hungarians

2019-01-11 20:37:23 UTC

I am aware of that but i am strictly speaking about the Greek Catholics
