Yea. That place has gone to shit. It used to be more or less balanced about half a year ago or so, now it's just a catholic echo chamber.
Ah, never heard of her
Ever since Ezekiel stepped down and tutor took over
A fair portion of the place acts like a personality cult surrounding him
That is the least of the problems of /christian/. If has become a normie reddit copy that has lost almost all of its appeal.
No offence to Catholics ofc, but if there's too many of them in one place the average IQ takes a giant dip
Echo chambers aren't a bad thing intrinsically
but it's very disingenuous to claim to.he a place for all Nicene Christians but censor and silence those who.dare question filioquism and whatnot
they'd still get banned from reddit tbh even if tutor whips them into liking bogus ordo
Exactly. Wouldn't give a damn if it was /catholic/.
yeah
It is also the typical cabal of moderators where they will defend each other's actions no amtter what. Even if one of them ate a child alive, the others would say "I trust my colleagues. It seems that you are uncharitable and unchristian. Banned ;)"
Oh well.
yeah.
I used to consider a few of those mods friends too 😩
They have changed
You seem to be speaking from experience lol
if only you knew
Mozal was there last time I was there I think
Oof. Well, Im sorry its not as lively over here as it is there, but I hope we're not as corruptible as them
I went there with good intentions last time but I can only sake so much bullshit before I see red and start typing
The main issue with modern Catholics is an intellectual arrogance that they couple with a complete ignorance of their faith and a loyalty bordering on idolatry of the Pope. They have no hesitation in condemning Hitler but make any criticism of Pope St. John Paul II or Pope Francis and they go mental without stopping to consider what you said.
Catholicism had always given me a strange kind of vibe, with the celebrate clergy, shaven look, and strange "modern" mass, Orthodoxy on the other hand has always felt so comfy and wholesome, although I'm a brainlet so what assumption can I make...
Also the papal infallibility bullshit and overall corruption throughout the chuech that just didn't seem to happen to Orthodoxy, (not saying they are corruption free), but generally speaking did the protestant reformation ever decimate Orthodox lands??? I don't think so.
There was an Orthodox Reformation. They split into the Old Believers and the current EO
Are you referring to the Orientals or Greek/Russian split
The Orthodox never had a reformation because the Orthodox were the original protestant revolt :DDDDDD
He is referring yo the old believers schisming from the church in Russia @Deleted User
The "reform" was just the patriarch bringing things in line with the Byzantine rite
The Old Calendarists schismed too
>tfw EO splits
Unfortunately, the East has had many a Schism... Nestorians, OO, Old believers, Old calendarists; now Russia-Greece, which will hopefully resolve, but I doubt Ukraine will get welcomed back after affirming the big ghey
>tfw Christianity is just one big split
Which could, unfortunately, lead to a separate shism as it is if they don't repent
The church has been split since Ephesus I
If we considered the Nestorian churches to be Christian, which is rather questionable
How about Arian ni🅱🅱as
But the OO are seemingly accepted to be Christian, though heterodox
Arians are condemned.
