I remember when battarang used to be here

2019-02-20 21:43:26 UTC

Yea. I don't remember his conduct though.

2019-02-20 21:43:41 UTC

I always liked the guy

2019-02-20 21:43:48 UTC

Still friends with him on FB

2019-02-20 21:43:54 UTC

I gather he's not a fan of me anymore

2019-02-20 21:44:01 UTC

Who is he on fb? I think it was some flip

2019-02-20 21:44:23 UTC

Because I raise a ruckus any time I am in /Christian/, the catholic caliphate

2019-02-20 21:44:27 UTC

Uuuhhhhhh one sec

2019-02-20 21:45:04 UTC

Zach Norstedt

2019-02-20 21:45:12 UTC

Yea. That place has gone to shit. It used to be more or less balanced about half a year ago or so, now it's just a catholic echo chamber.

2019-02-20 21:45:19 UTC

Ah, never heard of her

2019-02-20 21:45:43 UTC

Ever since Ezekiel stepped down and tutor took over

2019-02-20 21:46:04 UTC

A fair portion of the place acts like a personality cult surrounding him

2019-02-20 21:46:24 UTC

That is the least of the problems of /christian/. If has become a normie reddit copy that has lost almost all of its appeal.

2019-02-20 21:46:24 UTC

No offence to Catholics ofc, but if there's too many of them in one place the average IQ takes a giant dip

2019-02-20 21:47:30 UTC

Echo chambers aren't a bad thing intrinsically
but it's very disingenuous to claim to.he a place for all Nicene Christians but censor and silence those who.dare question filioquism and whatnot

2019-02-20 21:47:53 UTC

they'd still get banned from reddit tbh even if tutor whips them into liking bogus ordo

2019-02-20 21:48:21 UTC

Exactly. Wouldn't give a damn if it was /catholic/.

2019-02-20 21:48:31 UTC

yeah

2019-02-20 21:52:24 UTC

It is also the typical cabal of moderators where they will defend each other's actions no amtter what. Even if one of them ate a child alive, the others would say "I trust my colleagues. It seems that you are uncharitable and unchristian. Banned ;)"

2019-02-20 21:53:00 UTC

Oh well.

2019-02-20 21:53:03 UTC

yeah.

2019-02-20 21:53:14 UTC

I used to consider a few of those mods friends too 😩

2019-02-20 21:53:18 UTC

They have changed

2019-02-20 21:53:21 UTC

You seem to be speaking from experience lol

2019-02-20 21:54:04 UTC

if only you knew

2019-02-20 21:54:25 UTC

Mozal was there last time I was there I think

2019-02-20 21:54:35 UTC

Trying to remember if he and I went at each other or not

2019-02-20 21:54:58 UTC

Oof. Well, Im sorry its not as lively over here as it is there, but I hope we're not as corruptible as them

2019-02-20 21:55:03 UTC

I went there with good intentions last time but I can only sake so much bullshit before I see red and start typing

2019-02-21 00:19:50 UTC

The main issue with modern Catholics is an intellectual arrogance that they couple with a complete ignorance of their faith and a loyalty bordering on idolatry of the Pope. They have no hesitation in condemning Hitler but make any criticism of Pope St. John Paul II or Pope Francis and they go mental without stopping to consider what you said.

2019-02-21 02:27:14 UTC

Catholicism had always given me a strange kind of vibe, with the celebrate clergy, shaven look, and strange "modern" mass, Orthodoxy on the other hand has always felt so comfy and wholesome, although I'm a brainlet so what assumption can I make...

2019-02-21 02:30:06 UTC

Also the papal infallibility bullshit and overall corruption throughout the chuech that just didn't seem to happen to Orthodoxy, (not saying they are corruption free), but generally speaking did the protestant reformation ever decimate Orthodox lands??? I don't think so.

2019-02-21 03:41:53 UTC

There was an Orthodox Reformation. They split into the Old Believers and the current EO

2019-02-21 03:59:42 UTC

Are you referring to the Orientals or Greek/Russian split

2019-02-21 04:00:24 UTC

The Orthodox never had a reformation because the Orthodox were the original protestant revolt :DDDDDD

2019-02-21 04:03:12 UTC

He is referring yo the old believers schisming from the church in Russia @Deleted User

2019-02-21 04:03:30 UTC

The "reform" was just the patriarch bringing things in line with the Byzantine rite

2019-02-21 04:16:28 UTC

The Old Calendarists schismed too
