I've taken a forensics class and studied a lot of that actually from psychological perspectives n stuff

Mostly it's like a self fulfilling prophecy rummaging in the subconscious. Like for example parents who disciplined their kids with beatings harshly and they grow up from that and developed harsh attitudes. A child exposed in an environment like that and has a pet where all they do to discipline it is to smack it and yell is offhandedly taught to the kid that thats acceptable behavior or standards. Even if told otherwise it would still mimic to a degree because it's all they know and in a high intense situation where you've become a parent and your kid is acting up - it happens.

It's even worse if you have helicopter parents as a teen because you aren't allowed to get out and explore and experience because of the restrictions and heavy friction between the kid and the parents
