honest to god, am the I only one who feels like everyone else just bullshits and can half ass their way and be fine, while I have to fucking stress out and obssess over this shit, because that sort of thing would never be put on a essay or research paper

some people can just come up with absolutely fucking shitty essays which I review all the time as a student tutor, and I'm just amazed by how people pass their classes

college should be for the actual intelligent people

I'll have a friend who'll copy my notes and forget to read for a test, only to get a 100%, while I get marked an 80%

my essays always have 100 if a proper rubric is given

my best friend in school would study her ass off for the class we were both in, i'd barely study and i'd ALWAYS get 1 point higher than her

if there's no good rubric the teacher can pull a 60 out of his ass

i never look at a rubric

i mean once you've written 100 essays you pretty much know what they expect

I write first then make sure I meet the criterions

I like rubrics, since it lets me know what they're specifically looking for sometimes

usually the rubrics just say something super generic like

"follows points, makes good argument"

"grammar, spelling nice"

so it's like, not necessary

usually it's more the case of making sure you have something to look over unless your somesort of 120 IQ madman

I recall the only essay I wrote with pure memory was one for English class one night before due handwritten, got a 100 xd
