Applied for a teaching course today. Also found out there was a local outdoors calisthenics facility so I might check that out
Nice
Tfw im built like a brick so calisthenics is a closed door for me
Yeah thats fair but I am out of shape so i figure basic bodyweight and cutting to get into shape before I start lifting heavy things to get big
Clean slate kinda thing
I'm currently at the office. Doing some low-priority data entry and listening to the rosary. Gonna abuse the free drinks machine this afternoon and put in a couple of sizeable expenses claims this afternoon. <:jewlol:557390321802018844>
That a boy
Nice. Cutting is probably something I never properly achieve.
I balloon real fast. One brap day and i lose a week's worth of workout
My metabolism is pretty high, so I need to be strict when I'm bulking.
Otherwise, I just don't gain weight.
Had lunch with the colleagues at the university in Leizing where I'm staying for 3 months
Sometimes I envy lanklets, but then I remember I can lift a horse
How are german unis?
During the Lenten fast, I was doing a good job at maintaining because my diet was about 70% protein.
Stopped lifting for a couple of weeks and my weight dropped like a stone.
I don't know much about this one, but the team I'm with seems to be good, and the lead (Prof. Rham) seems to have a nice personality
Refresh my memory, what's your field?
Computer science
GANG
Same
Used to be forensics, then toxicology, then education, now Instrumentation.
I did design and then web development
Web dev is the practical version of CS
The practical version is web dev as an interface to some tool
There is nothign better than a nice web interface to a fancy tool
Yup
And nothing more painful. How I hate to worry about forntend, backend, format of data being sent, ports, deployment, etc etc
Yea, its always a headache
Dev env setup can take days sometimes
It's shocking how city folk, especially young city folk, are so remarkably unappreciative and disrespectful of nature.
They don't know any better.
Technology has ruined their capacity for patience and simplicity.
"Forgive them, Englishman, for they know not what they do."
As someone who lives in a mostly rural state that has a prominent tourist season, I concur with Englishman.
@Petranadon Which state?
South Dakota
All I can think of now is the Calamity Jane musical.
Gonna be humming the song about Chicago to myself all afternoon.
