Judges 21:24
**Judges 21:24 - New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)**
```Dust
<24> So the Israelites departed from there at that time by tribes and families, and they went out from there to their own territories. ```
Facebook is one of the prime examples of hyper-reality and Simulacrums becoming the new reality
That's the last verse in Judges.
Psalm 117:8
**Psalm 117:8 - Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)**
```Dust
<8> It is good to confide in the Lord, rather than to have confidence in man. ```
Weird
there we go
American Psycho becomes more relevant by the day because it was all about this in its overaching themes.
According to my Bible, though, the verse continues: ...and families, to their dwellings. In those days there was no king in Israel: but every one did that which seemed right to himself.
Mood
The main character kills and tortures people, beats homeless people to death with a hammer, and it doesn't even affect his social standing. However leaves a false message on the answering machine of one of the men he killed, saying he took a vacation to London, and that's enough for people to start saying they saw him in London.
Resign thyself to the wisdom of the Lord and define not good and evil for thyself 🙏
American Psycho is a critique of the woohoo culture though
Yuppie culture is a product of post-modernity
It pretty much encapsulates it actually.
It's not that relevant nowadays
did you watch that episode of Poz Button too?
watch/listen, consumed whatever
Rick and Morty is actually a good example of post-modernity. It's a show created by an arrogant manchild and an actual retard that has nothing introspective or interesting to say, nothing it does is any different from anything else in any major way, and none of its comedy is anything that isn't typical in pretty much any other adult cartoon shows, yet it's treated as one of the greatest shows to come out in modern times by a bunch of people.
Then the illusion is broken, everyone makes fun of it for how stupid it is, and they do the same exact thing with the next piece of completely interchangeable trash.
I never liked that show and avoided anyone who watched it
Yeah, I knew from, like, the third episode, that it was only going to be a matter of time before it burned out and jumped the shark so hard that everyone would realize just how fucking bad it was. I just didn't expect it to be in the third episode of its third season.
Actually the first if you count the mcnugget sauce thing
Its creator is Dan Harmon so I knew it wouldn't last long.
Oh yeah, also Dan Harmon was bullied off Twitter by his own fans after he tweeted out a 'comedy' sketch of him simulating rape on a baby doll, while describing in a voice over about how amazing it was to rape babies. It was apparently supposed to be a parody of Dexter but he was too autistic to realize how bad that was.
I powered through the 2 seasons, and I did not like it. yeah idk why I went through a whole season of a show I didn't like either. heard it was good and I thought I was missing something, turns our I was just missing a shot tier taste in animation
You missed the worst season, season 3.
It contains PIIIICKLE RIIIICK
Just looking at Dan Harmon makes me cringe
I wish some non cringe worthy folks would do a D&D show
But they're all terrible
a show made by some pedo being cringe and stupid, imagine my surprise.
He's not a pedo he's just a moron that thinks being as edgy as possible is funny
Also all his fans are oversensitive idiots who go after people for liking edgy meme pages, yet he thought they would be okay with him posting a video of him simulating rape on a baby doll.
It's supposed to be a parody of Dexter because "Lol you sympathize with a serial killer, but what if he raped babies, I bet you wouldn't sympathize with him then huhhhhhhh. Holy shit I'm so fucking smart."
I saw one episode of Dan's dnd show, it was bad, was it just because it was the pilot? or is it all as bad as that
The Virgin Dan's DnD show vs the Chad Critical Role
Yeah though, I don't watch it, but I watched part of it, and knowing Dan Harmon it's probably all like that.
Yeah though, Critical Role is like that, but a whole lot better.
