I require a piece of advice

a friend of mine, who's in quite an enmity towards religion and who is currently resorting to it, has her parents split up, they are both quite toxic, inasmuch as I understood her story. She's asked me to advice her how to approach her parents and if/how to respect them, given that they are both "assholes to her"

mom sort of kicked her out of the house and the father came back in her life after some sixteen years
