Yeah, im kinda happy to let the people sort out social issues, as A. I don't give a shit

2019-09-16 12:47:35 UTC

And B. Despite a belief in despotism, i don't believe in micro management

2019-09-16 12:47:38 UTC

neo reactionaries tend to favor feudalism in the european sense

2019-09-16 12:47:47 UTC

Feudalism was foolish

2019-09-16 12:47:58 UTC

Too de - centralised

2019-09-16 12:48:17 UTC

yea you're different

2019-09-16 12:48:38 UTC

I think you really are your own thing

2019-09-16 12:48:39 UTC

I like the Egyptian moniker of the pharaoh as a shepard

2019-09-16 12:48:45 UTC

really interesting

2019-09-16 12:48:49 UTC

He doesn't tell the sheep was grass to eat

2019-09-16 12:48:59 UTC

He stops them entering his neighbours paddock

2019-09-16 12:49:07 UTC

Or eating anything hazardous

2019-09-16 12:49:30 UTC

But yeah, i developed my beliefs before i was exposed to other ideologies

2019-09-16 12:50:35 UTC

Have you ever read dune btw?

2019-09-16 12:50:54 UTC

Because I've had people tell me im like a less justified Leto II in what i think

2019-09-16 12:50:58 UTC

nope, seen the movie a long time ago though

2019-09-16 12:50:59 UTC

GG @Terry Arcona, you just advanced to level 2!

2019-09-16 12:51:16 UTC

Essentially in the fourth book

2019-09-16 12:51:33 UTC

Dude becomes a deity, and breaks the cyclical nature of societal decay

2019-09-16 12:51:55 UTC

Ill put it like this, i think everyone wants to create a paradise for their people in the end

2019-09-16 12:52:09 UTC

in your view what causes societal decay?

2019-09-16 12:52:16 UTC

Success

2019-09-16 12:52:26 UTC

A country grows, exerts its power

2019-09-16 12:52:36 UTC

It becomes strong and bloated

2019-09-16 12:52:53 UTC

There are no enemies to keep it on its feet, no outside issue to stimulate change

2019-09-16 12:53:01 UTC

So all that's left is the occasional reformer

2019-09-16 12:53:29 UTC

And with its wealth and cradle of power it falls to corruption, or becomes weak in the face of another power due to arrogance

2019-09-16 12:53:31 UTC

And falls

2019-09-16 12:53:54 UTC

Such is the cycle of every civilisation

2019-09-16 12:54:02 UTC

All have gone through it all go through it

2019-09-16 12:54:02 UTC

GG @Mairon, you just advanced to level 3!

2019-09-16 12:54:12 UTC

Well except those that get crushed beneath another

2019-09-16 12:54:53 UTC

This cycle of decay limits greater progress and creates conflict

2019-09-16 12:55:19 UTC

Out of the ashes of a collapsing civilisation, new ones form, and it puts back development

2019-09-16 12:56:05 UTC

In ancient Egypt there was a concept called Ma'at it had no real translation, but it's sorta a mix between, divine order, and tranquility, Egypt lasted thousands of years

2019-09-16 12:56:45 UTC

I want Ma'at for all of humanity, for all time, so that no child ever be plagued by the unjust loss of parents, so that none starve, or needlessly suffer

2019-09-16 12:57:37 UTC

Tfw i just ranted the fuck out of this channel

2019-09-16 12:57:48 UTC

Rip LCU

2019-09-16 12:59:05 UTC

maybe no one starved but people didn't really have that great of lives, slavory was rampant in Egypt

2019-09-16 12:59:53 UTC

Ma'at was only conceptual in Egypt, and for the ancient Mediterranean they had quite fair lives

2019-09-16 12:59:59 UTC

Egypt to me was a starting point
