Never heard of it, what’s it about?

Its a film adaptation of a book, i won't go into details, but in the closing years of WW2 in the Salo republic a Bishop, Duke, Lawyer and some other dude, grab some servants, some soldiers and old prostitutes and go on a few months of debauchery

Its one of those implicitly meaningful movies

But yeah not going into detail of the events in it (people left theaters upon seeing some)

As he said, the difference is it's voluntary. No one is forcing you to associate with private land owners. You are forced to associate with the state.
