The reason people don't want notifications from the group is because they have their own lives to lead and it's rather annoying to have your phone buzzing again and again and again when you're trying to run a cash register or drive to work or whatever
In short people want to check in on their own time at their own leisure

Yeah, muting is simple, and if you don’t want notifications about server updates, then you can mute just announcements, but either way, not like but a few are complaining, but I guess the people young enough not to grow up on this technology are annoyed where people around mine are happy to see someone cares to inform or reach out, the worlds so divisive, but yes, let’s stay separated by muting and lack or irl connections, and complain when people don’t get you
