And I don’t feel comfortable going more to the left than I already have

2019-10-11 20:01:50 UTC

@Terry Arcona so what exactly is great about voluntarism?

2019-10-11 20:02:03 UTC

is for me too, but the point is there are room for these other ideologies so long as you're not forcing them on anyone els

2019-10-11 20:02:31 UTC
2019-10-11 20:02:53 UTC

So any points why I should switch to voluntarism?

2019-10-11 20:04:48 UTC

@ANCAPOLDJACK well, we're very much a market oriented and liberty minded ideology, voluntarism takes left Rothbardian ideas and expands upon them

2019-10-11 20:05:51 UTC

instead of various different anarchist groups not getting along and as such not working together much, as voluntarists we tend to be able to get along and fight for common goals @ANCAPOLDJACK

2019-10-11 20:06:26 UTC

So could you explain how exactly this society would contrast a mutualist one? (In terms of how it would be better)

2019-10-11 20:06:30 UTC

When you have time of course

2019-10-11 20:07:04 UTC

of course

2019-10-11 20:07:16 UTC

I have pleanty of time right now

2019-10-11 20:07:25 UTC

I am also new to voluntarism

2019-10-11 20:07:29 UTC

I have not looked into it much

2019-10-11 20:07:41 UTC

not a problem at all

2019-10-11 20:07:57 UTC

Thank you

2019-10-11 20:08:44 UTC

Voluntarism is the concept of a society interacting voluntarily, voluntaryism is specifically about voluntary governance, so voluntarism can include and does over 20 different positions from anprim to ansyn

2019-10-11 20:09:27 UTC

But how would the society function with the different ideologies?

2019-10-11 20:09:51 UTC

Through pneumaic ethics or a similar ethical set

2019-10-11 20:10:01 UTC

so like the best parts of a mutualist society rely around mitigetting the damaging effects of capitalism by forming worker Co-Ops, in a voluntarist society you can do much the same thing, however you can also network with other types of business's that may be opperating in a somewhat different way then your own, keep in mind with out government weather it be mutualist or not corporations would not exist though and so you wouldn't have to worry about them @ANCAPOLDJACK

2019-10-11 20:10:40 UTC

Okay

2019-10-11 20:10:55 UTC

Hmm

2019-10-11 20:11:22 UTC

So it’s more effective in which how people interact and adapt?

2019-10-11 20:11:26 UTC

Mutualism can exist with individual property rights by combining multiple people’s property rights Into a communal contract, thus allowing for communes or co-op run businesses in a individualist society

2019-10-11 20:13:32 UTC

@ANCAPOLDJACK exactly, it's a true free market on ideas all allowed to coexit at the same time, in such an enviroment competition and inovation should bring about the best possible society

2019-10-11 20:14:00 UTC

So what would happen with the government?

2019-10-11 20:14:17 UTC

there is no government

2019-10-11 20:14:41 UTC

voluntarism is an anarchist ideology much like mutualism is

2019-10-11 20:15:25 UTC

the only governace we believe in is self governace

2019-10-11 20:16:26 UTC

you own your self and all things spring from that

2019-10-11 20:17:57 UTC

Sorry I didn’t mean government

2019-10-11 20:18:00 UTC

I mean more like

2019-10-11 20:18:11 UTC

All services would be replaced over time by market competition but at first there would be LCU options with competition to start, but the LCU offers private welfare, education, etc

2019-10-11 20:18:21 UTC

Do any individuals hold any levels of power or a hierarchy?

2019-10-11 20:18:33 UTC

That are able to control society

2019-10-11 20:18:35 UTC

But it won’t adapt or evolve so the market can outcompete it

2019-10-11 20:18:50 UTC

Protect yes, control no

2019-10-11 20:20:50 UTC

@ANCAPOLDJACK so like the idea is to get to a point of decentrlised networks of various people and groups so no real hierarchy forms

2019-10-11 20:21:11 UTC

The LCU is a steping stone in that direction

2019-10-11 20:21:16 UTC

And this society is almost guaranteed to be successful?
