technically the redmi note 4 has one more megapixel
but I don't think that matters all that much
1 more megapixel =/= better camera
Poco has the better camera for sure
but is it slightly better or a lot better
is the question
a lot better
specs wise
Poco has a dual 12mpx12mp camera
Note 4 has just a single 13mp camera
Poco has a 20MP front
Note 4 has a 5mp front
I don't care about the front though
I am not a selfie taking normie
it's still better
^
even for the front camera alone
I am kind of looking for a reason to upgrade
You don't have, the note 4 is still a good phone if you run a custom rom
I for one am only updating to the mi mix 3 for fullscreen just because I'd like to, I actually don't need a new phone either
There's rarely a real need to upgrade
If you want to have a new one, get it
But *need* and *reason* from a note 4? I don't see any. Especially not to the poco
yeah
I have had the note 4 for a year and its the first phone that I still like after using it for a year
the camera is crap
but I barely use it for anything besides posting pics of the crap I got from China on an autistic image board
All xiaomi cameras are crap
Even the mi mix 2 camera is crap
going from 8gb/1gb to 64gb/4gb felt pretty nice when I got it
gcam port tbqh.
Does increased megapixels mean that the images take more storage?
yes
Feels like there is no reason to increase megapixels anymore.
not really no specialy if scientific uses are not included
at least not for a while when sensor quality itself is shit
we cant still easily manufacture good nightime sensors nor 1:1 quality ones
nor we have devices what can handle 50megapixel pixtures easily
at those sepcs the images are 50-80 MB each (roughly so in RAW)
I'm gonna fall asleep at work
