and how many years u thinkin?
im from the south, and house is still cheap down there so somewhere in texas
dont know, depends if im still with my gf
buying a house in switzerland costs 1 million + : ^)
if u want great schooling but don't make much a small house can be like 200-300k
>great schooling
and take like 10-20 yrs to pay
in switzerland house placement doesn't affect schooling at all
all schools are equal
technically speaking all schools are equal, but it's who ur surrounded by
if ur not surrounded by people who want to learn
chanecs are ur not gonna be an engineer
well, in Switzerland when you get your 'high school diploma' you can go to any uni without applying
even ETH
swiss life
great life
then again I went the path of going through an apprenticeship for 4 years after 9 years of school
and then studying to be an EE
and now 4 years part time for my BS
apprentiship in what?
what?
yup
what do you learn
we have electrical engineering apprenticeships
kirchoff and basic circuits?
well yeh, and AC, capacitors, inductors etc
it's basically made to be 'pre-ee-bachelor-class'
80% of graduates go on to study ee at uni
so it's taking me 2 years longer than just general uni education, but at that point I've already worked in the field for 6 years
oh, and programming is also part of it
what kind of work?
technical drawing
etc
fuck drawing
bitch work
that was only halfa year
to know how to do it if we ever should need to do it
get gud at design
otherwise ur gonna be doing unfulfilling work
well, in my apprenticeship I was in a company that made cable car automation and steel cable testing devices
