I feel a very specific subset of smaller city would be comfier. Bigger ones are too much about hustle and bustle and vanity. Felt that way in Seoul.

For 2 months before we leave we will live with fiancee mom and grandma in smaller city
So that'll be comfortable I think, but living with chink inlaws might be tough
They have no sense of personal space. Just lift my shirt up whenever they want , peek into the bathroom when I shower to see if there is a towel etc etc
But I'll enjoy not teaching for 2 months and just get to relax and travel
