Yeah this is the video I am referencing
The cities might be modern but the people are outdated
It makes for a weird surreal feeling, like it's not a real place.
It's very strange sometimes
I honestly count down the days until I can leave
5.5 months seems like an eternity...but 165 days doesn't seem too bad
I feel a very specific subset of smaller city would be comfier. Bigger ones are too much about hustle and bustle and vanity.
Felt that way in Seoul.
I like how chinks seem to don't mind getting filmed
No time to give a shit
idk why it is, but here everyone is literally like "now you have my soul!" when you maybe get them on a photo
Meh, it's weird and uncomfortable.
shouldn't be a thing tho
@johnfrum I agree with you. When I travel to third teir cities I feel more calm and less tense.
And yeah chinks don't care about filming unless they think you're a spy
For 2 months before we leave we will live with fiancee mom and grandma in smaller city
So that'll be comfortable I think, but living with chink inlaws might be tough
They have no sense of personal space. Just lift my shirt up whenever they want , peek into the bathroom when I shower to see if there is a towel etc etc
But I'll enjoy not teaching for 2 months and just get to relax and travel

Did they Photoshop her on his back
Ugh she's wearing one of those stupid chink gps phone watches
I hate those things
The parents of my students call them during class
Nah just a really weird focus angle. It's stupid but less stupid than a leash.
Oh, it's actually a phone?
It's not the gps I dislike, but it's a real phone
Yeah you preset numbers in it
So you can call parents and they call you
But it's only speaker phone
And kids age 4-12 wear them
Why the fuck would a 4 year old need that
Thought it was like like a tracking collar. Would be useful for a 4 year old if it was just GOS
The kids are in English class, where the mom is right outside the door, and she calls the kid in the middle of class
Happens all the time
Yeah GPS is fine for lost kids
Yeah GPS is fine for lost kids
These things are insanely popular
I'd say 80% of my kids have them. The only ones that don't have real cellphones
