Spending power for a single income seems to be much lower regardless
why would you ever get in that kind of argument nigga go get some coochie
this is what i hit her with
"household poor term to ue
would like to see this done on a per capita
dual income household increase since the 70s
and nowadays, quite a lot of stay-at-home children / multigenerational working households
wealth polarization of this nature already has and will create significant untenable social friction
neoliberal policy has no effective redistributive solutions to address this"
i like dunking on shitlibs who spent 3 years getting an econ degree
then arguing ackshually, you are better off now
Np I didnt look up any data so hope I wasnt jsut bullshitting
found a pew dataset
truth is veronica..
rise up
yeah that chart above doesn't account for the growth of cities. being middle class in a rural area in 1960 was better off than making $100k and living in Chicago (could own property, have kids, etc)
yeah its pretty small brain to compare households - more households make $100k a year because now instead of the dad making $75k (inflation adjusted) the mom and dad both work and make $50k each (inflation adjusted)
The household makes 33% more but works twice as much - great trade!!!
Yeah I can afford a house/condo where I live right now but if I lived in a city I would basically be broke
Exactly, and the percent of people living in cities has gone way up so thats how you have people w/ ok jobs & college degrees going nowhere
