But the bigger problem is the weight of the baggage I would have for touring. Which I guess the bike isn't really suitable for to begin with, anyways...

But yeah, I did not know about the HIMO V1, that seems to be a recent thing. With a carry capacity that's enough for me, and much cheaper than the first one. I'll probably consider it, although I'm not sure if it would be sufficient for longer distances, seems more for intra-city commuting.
