If you can schmooz in any capacity, esp while being effective, other effective people notice and become eager to help you get by, get ahead
You just have to keep it together and not burn your bridges and immolate for spite when shit goes wrong
No getting around the fact the work sucks, but it's not bad compared to dealing with customers
Pushing a broom or stocking shelves is not the best use of time, but if you're a thinker it can be oddly cathartic to zone out and work shit out internally
