90s was the ethnostate tbh
So many I see now look like they were made in the same factory
Those weird boxes you could yell into
like a phone
Tireparks and metal climbing structures were top tier
Rope swings
Ziplines
Oh yeah
That's how you knew you were living da good life
Ziplines
Rope monkeybars
That fucked up spiral pole
Used to see those side by side 15-20 foot long 'wheels on an i-beam' type zip lines at so many playgrounds
None this decade
Guessing they became insurance liability due to fat
half those activities can't hold up modern 300lb Honduran kids
maybe if kids were on the playground and not their god damn ipads there wouldn't be an obesity epidemic
dangnabit
We had frickin Gameboy. Portable video games. Combine that with pokemon and adults thought it was catastrophic to childhood
Still skated, still played tag, still biked and hooped
Could have been more active tbh
hell yeah
i danced as a kid
I took my GBA everywhere with me
but later got a PSP
I had gbc and gba and sp
The backlit screen was such a gamechanger so many kids have no idea
kids dont understand the hustle of playing a video game handheld without a backlight
^
PSP PS2 zoomies overshadowed by ipad niggas
wormlite nigga
running out of batteries because of it in a car ride at night
tfw couldn't play Pokemon Silver on cloudy or dark days
driving thru wisconsin back home from canada, oops its 6pm, I guess no more pokemon
"I can't see the screen I'll use the light but it's draining the batteries aaaaah"
I remember bringing gameboy on car trips, playing in the car np on the way there, then struggling to play via highway streetlights on the way home
Hella shared memories
I would hold the gameboy up yeah
try to use the lights
you got family in canada or something?
