dial the ISP, then login and hit "start PPP session" then you were online

Netscape navigator eventually came with it's own dialer

that made things a lot easier

It's still difficult to wrap head around, how this tech has changed the world. I've used it to learn so much and earn some honest supplemental income as a result no spam

then windows 95 had it's own stuff built in and actual TCP/IP in the OS
