this is GOAT
basically what it would have sounded like if the SNES could have played back the original samples on the hardware
RARE couldn't get enough awards for how good that game was in 1994
full quality samples were likely possible on the GC
Billie eilish
i need to see what other games david wise composed for
a lot
Many NES games by rare
put out by ljn
hmmm marble madness
it had decent music but game was hard as fuck i never made it past level 2
Listen to the original arcade ost to marble madness
if anything was made for cheating that game was it
Holy shit
the nes port's music is vastly inferior
Also
>Donkey Kong Country's release day was literally enough to ruin the entire launch of the sega 32x
i saw a video on the sega 32x from gaming historian, that pretty much finished off sega
says here they used the YM2151 sound chip
marble madness ost was fucking unprecedented
this is ahead of it's time for 1984
Yes
god damn
Nonrepeating prog tracks in a game in 84?
like goddamn
The YM2151 was used in many arcade game system boards, starting with Atari's Marble Madness in 1984, then Sega arcade system boards from 1985, and then arcade games from Konami, Capcom, Data East, and Namco, as well as Williams pinball tables, with its heaviest use in the mid-to-late 1980s. It was also used in Sharp's X1 and X68000 home computers
isn't the x68000 that one Lagoon was originally released on?
Lagoon had a great soundtrack
Shield hero is based
de_dust2
Lagoon good OST but trash everything else
Hitbox rage like few other

but it was way hard too
i didn't beat it back in the day
