2018-03-05 09:05:12 UTC

Mmm lines

2018-03-05 09:05:25 UTC

What exactly am I looking at here

2018-03-05 09:08:43 UTC

a frequency response graph

2018-03-05 09:37:42 UTC

So if I want something good the line is supposed to be as straight as possible?

2018-03-05 09:41:01 UTC

not quite

2018-03-05 09:42:10 UTC

that's just frequency response alone

2018-03-05 09:42:31 UTC

and my rig is a flatplate so it doesnt account for any outer ear interactions, which means the upper midrange and treble will never be properly accurate

2018-03-05 09:42:41 UTC

but flatter = better in a general trend

2018-03-05 15:06:58 UTC

oh alright

2018-03-05 15:07:02 UTC

thanks

2018-03-05 17:31:01 UTC

freq response isn't as important as distortion
flatter response tends to come hand in hand with low distortion because flat responses target people who care about quality, but I'd look at distortion first then see if the FR works for you

2018-03-05 17:33:04 UTC

i cant do proper distortion plots atm because my room noise is too high :(

2018-03-05 17:34:32 UTC

well

2018-03-05 17:34:36 UTC

tried to take apart my broken zircons

2018-03-05 17:34:39 UTC

don't do it

2018-03-05 17:34:45 UTC

lol

2018-03-05 17:34:50 UTC

heat works but it might as well be welded together

2018-03-05 17:35:40 UTC

i want my dumb cheap iems to come

2018-03-05 20:06:29 UTC

i mean it technically fits the topic if you consider music "audio autistic"

2018-03-05 20:06:44 UTC

tho id rather we didnt have shitposting in here

2018-03-05 20:06:59 UTC

Makes sense since the Beatles is the audiofool band
Yep I would too

2018-03-05 20:11:38 UTC

Serious question now
How bad are the apple airpod clones and knockoffs?
Has anyone ever experienced one?

2018-03-05 20:11:52 UTC

bad

2018-03-05 20:12:10 UTC

the original airpods are pretty bad, and the knockoffs are even worse

2018-03-05 20:12:24 UTC

That would explain a lot
