@prim i played TES. it has really compelling voice acting etc, and the stories of the quests are meaningful and good to experience. but it is total garbage in terms of gameplay
I considered myself an Elder Scrolls fan and thought it was going to hold me over until ES6
but after Fallout 76 I consider Bethesda's fraudulence too much and stopped playing all their software
Your description of TES is a big part of everything wrong with 2010s gaming
Meaningful and good to experience quests are increasingly rare but who cares if the gameplay trash
When the majority of budget goes into voice acting and graphics minutia instead of optimization to make the game fun
Add in the pay2win mechanics with microtransactions and lootbox softcore gambling, cover in a sheen of contemporary idpol while ignoring historical accuracy
yeah
it is just all fucking garbage now
we are in an era of complete decline
there is virtually no worthwhile art being made anywhere
