I don't agree with his point on you get gov services like fire and police so you can't deny services. 1. you pay taxes for those services, so he paid for those services. 2. That means tim has can be forced to cover stories these activists want even if he doesn't want to.
Ew gross. I peeked at the twitter thread of the author of a video game piece tim criticized. All the people saying how important it is they can play as a character with the same color skin or genitals as they have (muh representation). All I hear when people stay stuff like that is "I'm a racist" and "can't empathize with people who don't look like me".
@Countess biological or not they're still racist. Also, they're gonig beyond just having an opinion or sayign things. THey're trying to push those thing son others.
I'm getting tired of throwing out claims like racist or bigoted, but if you can't identify with a character because of how they look, well, that might be why.
That is a good point though, I was trying to think of a character that wasn't white that I really identified with in a game, but the truth is that I don't know that I play that many character focused games.
I always use the example of Gundam Wing for that, where two characters look like they could be brothers, but one is ethnically American and the other Japanese.
