Freedom to have unlimited welfare comes with no obligations, so that's all the rage.
Go back and read the Illiad. You'll find scant mention of rights (benefits) granted at birth to everyone. What you will find is a society that believes people have immense obligations.
Rights came about in societies that already had firmly held beliefs regarding their own obligations. Those rights were stated in union with their already established norms of obligations.
The sense of obligation to the polis (group) was the older idea, and the sense of birthrights was the newer idea. The newer was formed in recognition of the older.
The relatively new idea of rights (benefits) has been so separated from the obligations that it was originally tied to that is now like a cut off branch dying on the ground.
Rights are withering in the sun, while obligations, the long established trunk of the tree of humanity, are still alive.
We had a brief phase where we gave some reward to those who operated in accordance with the necessary obligations of society.
You maintain your obligations, you get rights.
Too many people wanted the rights without the obligations, and here we are, watching our right wither away.
If you need some evidence to support this, I'll put it this way.
Thursday is Independence Day.
Most of the nation will be out cooking hamburgers.
Less than one percent of them will be in the military.
In the next presidential election, people will be voting for a president who will oversee a war that began before they were born.
They love the rights, but not the obligations.

I wish I could play with even half as much soul as he does
@Spanners Me too. He is one of the greatest guitar players of all time. I wish I could play like him. This makes me want to practice. check this out. He plays drums too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9gNmKSwJH4
I think the fact that he can play drums and sing must help him with the pitch and timing of his guitar playing. Just my thoughts.
Well, it is important to have a good sense of rhythm when you're playing. I knew a guy who taught bass guitar who would ask the question of new students, "Can you shake your booty?"
I've heard something similar. Never trust a drummer who can't dance
I have probably overlooked my rhythm playing in the past
dang lead guitars getting all the attention
Haha
I'm no shredder I just love melodies
Do you like John Frusciante?
He is my other favourite
