Is China claiming to have pushed the boundaries of science again? They haven't done shit.
That reminds me of the story a few years after animal cloning was a thing about some guy in China or somewhere around there that claimed to have cloned the first human, but that story never went anywhere, as far as I know.
How bad are things in South Africa? Are they seriously on the brink of civil war?

@Legalize the reality about climate change is that it's inevitable.
With or without human involvement the climate will change and move out of the Goldilocks zone required for our civilizations to thrive.
I believe humanity has a vested interest in developing technology to terraform or prevent natural climate change, but the mass hysteria, like you said, is definitely overblown.
