we're already there tonigh
it's really interesting to see Ed's transition from staunchly anti-religious in the early 90s, to an extremely spiritual person by the time that he wrote the lyrics for the songs on The Distance to Here
he claims that the songs on The Distance to Here were inspired by the Taoist beliefs he held by the late 90s, but... it's _really_ hard for me to see the lyrics from the distance as anything other than directly about Christianity
haven't listened to any recent Live stuff
