the left is the only side that takes ground
the right never takes any ground
they just resist for a little while until they cave
what is wrong with Canadas system for example, We elect people in our district for a seat in the house and then how ever gets the most seats that parties front runner becomes prime minister
parliamentary systems are just as much a mess as our republic
this entire area would NEVER be represented because there's so few people here http://bit.ly/2nYA6T3
he goes over that in the vieo
video
states already don't get represented
just have every person vote "equal under the law"
then pick someone that way
no
not your country
then that section would never get represented
like i said
we don't do it that way
they'd never get what they want
how wtf
because they're not the majority, so if they disagree with the majority they'd never get what they want
it'd get worse and worse
the good thing about Canada's system is that when we get a prime minister they cannot use the 'we didn't control the house/senate" excuse because to get into office their party must control the house
but it'd probably never happen since the US is less of a country than a country of countries
^
the electoral college didn't make any sense to me when i was 7 years old
@Just for youtube [NB1] this doesn't follow, people in these areas have vastly different interests
which areas?
the places you circled
you mean there's many different interests within that area i circled?
the bad side of the system Canada and Aus use though is we're pretty much at the whim of whatever the governing party decide if they to oust their leader and appoint someone else they get the job
while atm did you see the map in the video. Swing states visited over 70 times vs some states less than 10
or the area within the circle has vastly different interests than the area outside the circle
i saw the video
idc how much anything was visited tbh idk how that could be an argument by either side
i don't know anyone that goes to rallies or cares about them
if a state isn't visited are they being fairly represented?
im bringing it up because you are saying my system is worse
but your system literally ignores states right now
The US government is designed to reduce the risk of the government taking away civil liberties
which states does it ignore?
The less power to the feds the better
