yeah there is already a manufacturer that printed fully functional 1911s
as of right now metal 3D printers are not common
only seen one in person at the prototype shop at Boeing
Even if they got banned, my dad is a machinist. I can go to my parent's house and machine off a long barrel, and working parts to design a crude action
and CNC a stock if I really needed to
so many lefties forget that the economic prosperity we enjoy in this country was built on manufacturing. We know how to make stuff
For a long while, I thought that there was something I was really missing about the hysteria about 3d printed guns.
Until Liberty Doll put out a video where she was talking about how 'Oh the horror that fragile, single shot pistols might be easily available.' Then I realized it was just the usual liberal bullshit.
yeah, that's the thing. It's a single shot...3D printing materials haven't advanced enough to withstand the heat and pressure of any standard rifle cartridge
But I'm also sure that aside from the engineers, these kids believe that a 3D printer is the replicator from Star Trek
Oh, that makes sense.
The thing that bothered me most about that whole thing is that I've seen In the Line of Fire.
If you want it to be undetectable, you can make a better gun than the Liberator with a little craftsmanship and know how.
Though I'm not sure how realistic the gun in that movie was, but I do know that the concept is sound.
FDM 3D printers can't make a safe version, they just shatter and the shell can hit you too
We talking about 3D printed guns? They've been improved upon, from what I've heard
