Are you all making the right choice?
why not both?
"How to escape the overthinking trap: stop judging yourself"
This looks like a good article
ok.........
what the fuck is that comparison even supposed to mean?
I haven't figured it out
also, while it's a bad idea to be overly critical of yourself... man. Telling people to not judge themselves at _all_ is an awful idea
but that's EXACTLY what a biggot would say.
guess I'm proudly a bigot, then :^)
🤔
I just don't understand what's happened to the world
I grew up in one of the most heavily left leaning areas in New York (I lived in Ithaca as a kid) and self improvement was considered to be an extremely positive thing
Loss of responsibility was going to be my answer, so I like where you're going.
I mean, I have borderline personality disorder and I'm plagued by self guilt and judgment
I don't think it means a complete lack of it, but done in a productive way
I mean, I've seen this kind of argument from people on the left multiple times over the last few years, and I've never seen "be self critical, but not unhealthily so"
Or it's useless leftie trash defending horrible actions
it's always been "don't judge yourself, full stop"
though, to be completely fair, I haven't read the article in the picture, so it could be the former, rather than the latter
Well the movement towards, nothing is your fault. It's what drives all the defending of horrible leftie actions
buuuut from that opening paragraph, I get the strong feeling that it's the latter
It's because they know inside their actions are wrong, so they want everyone to be horrible people so they feel justified
@aguyyouknow that's a cut profile pic fyi
it's from a manga
It's adorable
well, uh
I wouldn't recommend reading the manga that it's from then (called Made in Abyss)
it's, uh... not a very adorable story
None of your bad actions are your fault, it's "alt right adjacents" (my favorite tag), the election isn't our fault, it's russia, your gender dysphoria isn't your fault, it's society.
always someone else's fault.
Oh, I have a friend who loves that grossness. It sounds sad
Well, my gender dysphoria isn't my fault, but it isn't anyone's fault
I still feel horriblely guilty about it
the fact that you realize you have it, is proof that you accepted responsibility for it
that's my point, though badly worded I guess
It's okay. I just like people knowing that most trannies are normal
