Isn't that thing about cults the exact opposite. People in cults tell their members to not argue because they might learn the truth and leave the cult? I'm pretty sure Jack Dorsey used an example of someone in the westboro baptist church being deradicalized by engaging with people outside the cult. Also wasn't there a news story of boy deciding to get vaccinated after being exposed to people on reddit.
