It's not clear to me how parental instruction on masturbation will prevent porn addiction.
Biology is what it is, and people will have the level of desire for sex that their DNA gives them. Our society is mostly distorted because it keeps people from pairing up and entering into marriage too late. If Parents guided their kids into marriage earlier, then the problem solves itself.
As I understand it, biologists have proven that humans have chemical bonding apparatus, and it is far far easier for a man and woman to form a lasting bond when they are young.
Society should be restructured so that girls and boys are having their kids earlier. If this means that school needs to be more time-effective (public schools in the U.S. are a pathetic waste of time anyway), or that women should delay college until after the kids are in grade school, so be it. If she's having kids at 18-22, she'll be hitting college at 28 anyway, which is plenty young enough to have a fantastic career.
The issue is that my parents never taught me about sex related things, and when I was curious they were busy, so I looked up sex and before I knew it I was looking at porn.
I was 12 at the time and really had no idea what I was feeling. Had I been properly taught I wouldn't have accidentally stumbled into porn out of curiosity. I mean sure I could have consciously chosen to look up porn, but it wouldn't have been the same as finding it on accident because I didn't understand what was happening with puberty.
I do agree people should be getting married younger and have kids sooner, but that still doesn't change the fact that in the digital age, in most cases, if a parent doesn't teach their kids about sex from multiple angles at a young age then they'll end up getting their sex education from pornhub.
That happens even in families where the parents talk about sex all the time.
hormones gonna hormone.
@Jeremy-Retard I totally agree that people should marry earlier. It solves tons of problems
@DJ_Anuz it doesnโt matter what parents tell their kids about sex. You canโt stop someone unless you have really good firewalls.
You can't stop the kids from viewing porn if they want to, but if you educate a child about sex and their hormones properly then they won't stumble across porn accidentally searching for information about sex.
Children will be less likely to view porn proactively if taught about some of it's negative consequences prior to their viewing of it.
That's not to say education will prevent exposure entirely, but it will reduce it if done early enough, and equip children to better be able to handle their hormonal changes and avoid porn in the future.
Miss me with that remainer shit

This made me laugh.
@DJ_Anuz "You can't stop the kids from viewing porn"
That is exactly the role of a parent. To limit rights as they deem appropriatly until emancipation. Parents are responsible for their childrens online activity and if they can't handle that responsibility, they may need to wait to have children until they can
That's statement fails to understand humans at all.
Sure i think parents could/should do a better job with their children, but most of humanity has done almost the same thing when it comes to kids, and the lack of constant control over them isn't the worst thing, and can be a good thing sometimes (tho can be harmful at times).
Yeah asserting control over your children is just another form of helicopter or bulldozer parenting.
The ideal parent is the one that teaches children the cause and effects of real world situations before the child has to learn those effects from personal experience but still grants the child the autonomy to make those mistakes. (Within reason)
At least that's my opinion.
I don't look to humans to be ideal.
(even tho its good to try)
Shoot for the stars, but don't expect to get there.
And especially don't criticize those who don't.
that's the role of the parent to loosen the grip as the appropriate level of maturity is reached. Analyze surfing porn at 12 because the parents didn't teach you about sex.
1) this shows that the parents did not think you were mature enough to learn about sex (i.e. they didn't think you were ready)
2) yet they did think you were mature enough to have unfiltered access to porn
Despite maturity marker (point 1) not being reached yet but freedom (point 2) was granted. These points are not consistent
parents have to either expedite the maturity development or put off the releasing of freedom
