tweets like theirs make me wish I still had a twitter account, who doesn't love a good ratio?

2019-07-07 12:10:59 UTC

it's easy to forget. it's not like the word "illegal" is in the descriptor or anything

2019-07-07 12:11:23 UTC

i'm pretty happy i got banned from twitter. it's a shit hole

2019-07-07 12:11:38 UTC

"call them undocumented migrants, just so you know" some apparent libertarian

2019-07-07 12:12:01 UTC

there's fun bits to it, if the company wasn't so fucking shit it'd be a decent platform

2019-07-07 12:12:12 UTC

some apparent ~~libertarian~~ fgt

2019-07-07 12:12:22 UTC

2019-07-07 12:12:59 UTC

2019-07-07 12:14:09 UTC

you know what Gary Johnson is still the biggest embarassment, which is impressive he's got tough competition

2019-07-07 12:57:54 UTC

"Credit where credit's due to Cato, for publishing research that is so devastating to their party line on this topic."

That's adorable, she thinks that Cato or the Libertarian party aren't open borders whackos.

2019-07-07 13:20:45 UTC

Who’s this person commenting on what she thinks is the LP platform?

2019-07-07 13:22:20 UTC

Without knowing more than the quote above, looks like she simultaneously believes LP is the “lol, weed man” party and also the shadowy backroom dealers of Nancy McLane’s book where they are crypto-fascists

2019-07-07 13:23:06 UTC

I found it in the comments of that twitter post

2019-07-07 13:24:16 UTC
2019-07-07 13:24:46 UTC

I'm just not sure if it's an intentional meme account.

2019-07-07 14:06:16 UTC

@C1PHER
Let's take the worst year (2Ø11);
Roughly 28% are illegal aliens, ¿correct? Ok, let's just round that off to ¼.
If one in four US residents were here illegally in any year (from 1776 on), that would in and of itself be a crisis.
In 2ØØ5, 12.2 million illegals were here (that appears to be the record high; https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2019/06/12/5-facts-about-illegal-immigration-in-the-u-s/). If I did the math correctly, that's around 4%. That's 7 times the rate.
I'm. Just. Saying.

2019-07-07 14:21:50 UTC

"Source: "Pew research center estimates based on augmented U.S. Census Bureau Data"
In other words, butt fuck nothing, the census doesn't count illegals even though Trump wants to, and Pew's estimate based on "augmented" data could literally be anything.

2019-07-07 14:22:13 UTC

The truth is no one has a fucking clue how many illegals are in the U.S. at any given moment, their margin of error is in the tens of millions.

2019-07-07 16:53:04 UTC

That Harvard study from February put the likeliest estimate at 25 million. Possibly closer to 30 million.

2019-07-07 17:14:03 UTC

Dang. Can you link the study? @Bowman151

2019-07-07 17:14:10 UTC

Or is it behind a paywall

2019-07-07 17:14:18 UTC

I can't stand paywalls

2019-07-07 17:17:44 UTC

@Mandatory Carry I'm not trying to minimize the illegal crisis in *any* way but I am not quite following your numbers there. The 1/4 number appears to be illegals as a percentage of drug traffickers, not general population. The 12.2 million illegals would, as you say, make up about 4% of the population, so that would be 1 in 25 of the general population, not 1 in 4.

That said if the number is actually *30 million* as some studies suggest, that is closer to 1 in 10 people.

As far as I'm concerned *either* of those numbers is far too high. But 10% is a truly horrifying number. That is an imminent-overthrow-of-the-native-population kind of number.

2019-07-07 17:19:52 UTC

That's not to mention that illegals are really only part of the problem. I'd argue that our *legal* immigration rate is also far too high. Something like like *1 in 4* people living in the US were not born here. I've heard 80 million thrown around before. That is not sustainable. It is mass demographic replacement and it will mean a wholesale washing out of the native born culture if it is not reversed and soon.

2019-07-07 17:20:58 UTC

Dang that's really high

2019-07-07 17:22:07 UTC

The coastal cities where half the population lives are absolutely swarming with foreigners, Sal.

2019-07-07 17:23:28 UTC

Not to mention the desert Southwest which has huge quantities of Mexican nationals.

2019-07-07 17:25:37 UTC

https://factfinder.census.gov/faces/tableservices/jsf/pages/productview.xhtml?src=bkmk

According to this 2016 Census table the official estimate is closer to 45,000,000. But the Census is suspected to vastly underreport illegals so take that for what you will.

2019-07-07 17:27:48 UTC

80M might be high. But I think 45M is low. Say there are 20M uncounted illegals and you'd get 65M, which is 1 in 5

2019-07-07 17:28:11 UTC

I don't know why you guys hate brown people so much.

2019-07-07 17:28:18 UTC

Some numbers edited above btw

2019-07-07 17:29:11 UTC

Haha I know I am a terrible, terrible person for wanting my children to grow up in a country that speaks my language, shares my culture and has a decent standard of living.

2019-07-07 17:29:35 UTC

Indeed, so racist of you.

2019-07-07 17:30:57 UTC

I'd move to Montana but I hear the Cancerfornians are metastasizing there already too.

2019-07-07 17:31:26 UTC

Also I don't know anybody in Montana.

2019-07-07 17:31:34 UTC

Really want to get up there someday.

2019-07-07 17:31:43 UTC

Seems like beautiful country.

2019-07-07 17:33:15 UTC

You know one person in Montana.

2019-07-07 17:33:30 UTC

I'm sure you and Matt once.....

2019-07-07 17:34:02 UTC

We'll always have Montana, Matt.

2019-07-07 17:57:24 UTC

Oh so Montana is the new "Colorado/Tennessee" place to move for liberals?
