its a flaw of human nature
I agree
It is like wolfmans joke
It is the worst system except for all of the others
That actually a quote from Churchill
I know
he said it about democracy
I was just saying wolfmans to keep it in context
Matt's flag changed. At least it's correct now
North Korea is best Korea.
Well this is awkward
More like amazing.
...
¿Who is that guy? Everyone hates him except me... ¿Why?
Not gunna lie, it IS kinda amazing
Send it to Matt he needs to get a hit piece and this will surely get him there
Amazing like Desmond
I’ve moved since 2016 so I’m not in a flood zone anymore. We’re expecting some crazy flooding though so I wanted to go ahead and grab some supplies
Well, Desmond is amazing.
Saw this at Walmart....
Looking around the world I’m pretty sure I’ll never vote for a female president. Women are 100% essential and amazing at many things but it seems that countries run by women really are dictated by emotions
Men and women have our respective places and we're destructive when we venture out of them. Repeal the 19th famalam
Women never had less power than after they gained the vote
That also supposes that the political process is the primary way we should attempt to affect people's personal lives.
Voting isn't a right it's a privilege
Also, men have more at stake as it's us who have to be prepared to die for a country. The privilege to vote was essentially a compensation for registering for the draft
And most prominent anti-suffragists were women fyi
I would nix the idea of "special rights" entirely and instead think of them as privileges
I wouldn't even argue with restricting voting privileges to property owners, even if it meant I lost the privilege myself
Or maybe one vote per intact family w/ children
Children have skin in the game. Should they be allowed to vote?
Children are human beings with lives and personhood. They have skin in the game independent of their parents. What about orphans?
I suppose actual land property, but I'm not necessarily saying that's the ideal system. My main point is that universal suffrage it's neither philosophically or pragmatically justifiable
I think restricting it based on intellectual capacity would be a dangerous precedent to set, so I'd say no. If I'm smarter than you but you're a harder worker and have contributed more to society, why should I be more enfranchised?
Oh lol
Nevermind
