Seems close enough.
I think this quiz makes a few mistakes that are common to other quizzes, and a few new ones
but I like the idea
What test is that?
Err, it looks like I found it, I think.
Mine just gave me a hammer and sickle... the red and yellow should have clued me in...
lel
so the two things that primarily get me are the fat person question, and the conflation between personal belief and political position
it probably shouldnt be labeled a political test, really
What about the fat person question?
well the implication is that you're leaning more blank slate if you think that fat people didnt get fat via genetics
but the data we have suggests that unless you're one of a very small group of people, you probably got fat through behavoiur. Gentics can play a role, but the thing that will turn you into a hamplanet is your own decision to stuff 5 extra big macs in your mouth on the daily
I'm sure there that can be an influence, yes, but obesity in America is largely due to lack of self-control, and the free market creating cheap, quick, and shitty food at convenience rate.
Agreed.
the issue I take is that it's not really an opinion thing, it's fact. So for it to be thrown in there is a bit odd. I guess because there are some people who think theyre helpless to not be fat?
Ah, I see where you're going with this.
A large amount of people lack self-discipline in whatever form or shape that may take.
well, just in the context of the quiz itself
Right.
I think genetics play a large part in many aspects of development and later life. It *can* even influence behaviour
and so in a roundabout way you could try to argue that it isn't your fault
but you've now separated behaviour in the question as well
I find it annoying when people try to fabricate any excuse under the sun.
Take ownership in your faults.
tbh most of the questions in the quiz fall into that, wherein you could have a full debate about the substance of the question itself
Even if its your genes fault thats still you. Just accept it
wherein you'd need to know the context of the statement you're being asked about
@Beemann agreed
And just like Hitler, we should strive towards genetic purity. Heil! /s
another one that got me was the one about equality of opportunity resulting in "fairness"
I strongly suspect, but have not yet confirmed, that this is an idealism vs materialism argument. I suppose it could be markets too
No well have much more effective methods than Hitler
And we'll be nicer about it
