legally you probably couldn't get another gun if you were red flagged

2019-08-15 06:12:13 UTC

lol i like how he deletes "this time"

2019-08-15 06:12:14 UTC

lmao

2019-08-15 06:12:37 UTC

@Lord Zedd
*Legally...*
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

2019-08-15 06:12:53 UTC

That was funny...

2019-08-15 06:12:54 UTC

illegally though, if you were red flagged likely they'd be watching you

2019-08-15 06:13:12 UTC

that's another part, time limits

2019-08-15 06:13:23 UTC

you talk like an autistic boomer tho

2019-08-15 06:13:25 UTC

Ya, sure, I'm worried.
#NoNotReally.

2019-08-15 06:13:32 UTC

if you're red flagged is it 24 hours, 48, a week a month?

2019-08-15 06:13:37 UTC

these details are important

2019-08-15 06:14:18 UTC

i'm getting really autistic about this fact that i keep pointing out lol

2019-08-15 06:14:24 UTC

Doesn't matter. You can get a gun in 12 hours.
Not *legally,* but get one.

2019-08-15 06:15:00 UTC

so you're skipping over the part where they're likely being watched

2019-08-15 06:15:51 UTC

how about this as an alternative, red flagging but not taking the guns but a watch is placed on the target

2019-08-15 06:16:14 UTC
2019-08-15 06:16:15 UTC

they are suspended from buying new fire arms while flagged

2019-08-15 06:16:41 UTC

and red flags could play into buying a gun down the line

2019-08-15 06:16:54 UTC

ugh my typing today...

2019-08-15 06:17:47 UTC

the question is, do you inform them they are flagged?

2019-08-15 06:18:23 UTC

it's potentially dangerous to people around them because "snitches get stitches" but it also could have a deterrent effect knowing they're being watched

2019-08-15 06:20:56 UTC

If you are hell bent on doing a mass shooting, the fact you don't have a gun wouldn't deter you, you would find another way or you would get a new gun out of the trunk of your local thugs car.

2019-08-15 06:21:46 UTC

that's kind of the same argument the left uses with the wall though

2019-08-15 06:21:53 UTC

"they'll just use ladders"

2019-08-15 06:21:58 UTC

so why build a wall at all?

2019-08-15 06:22:20 UTC

you might not stop all but if you could prevent some

2019-08-15 06:22:55 UTC

sometimes the best you can do is manage an issue, you're not going to stop all crime but you should make it as difficult as possible for them to do it

2019-08-15 06:24:43 UTC

I think the real solution to a lot of the gun violence isn't really in regulation and laws but fixing the broken systems in place

2019-08-15 06:25:03 UTC

the FBI seems completely inept and police are often hamstringed by their local leaders

2019-08-15 06:25:38 UTC

sadly any potential red flag law would be useless unless that system is fixed first

2019-08-15 06:25:45 UTC

I agree with you, we should prevent as much as we can. Im just pointing out people will find other ways, not that nothing should be done.

2019-08-15 06:26:28 UTC

But how to do that is really the issue

2019-08-15 06:27:20 UTC

it's not a simple issue, it's got layers, there's societal level stuff like fatherless households, the demonisation and marginalisation of men, the lack of policing, the lack of activities for young people

2019-08-15 06:27:29 UTC

but better policing is a start

2019-08-15 06:27:37 UTC

Instead of one red flag, maybe you need to have .. i don't know like 5 flags before action can be taken.

2019-08-15 06:28:22 UTC

hmm or a weighted system

2019-08-15 06:28:36 UTC

yellow flags, red flags etc

2019-08-15 06:29:22 UTC

until something is actually drafted all we can really do is speculate

2019-08-15 06:31:13 UTC

Yup, ultimately it's not up to us peasants. Our keepers will inform us of their decision. Doesn't mean we shouldn't make noise, just the choice is not ours.
