You wouldn't make it one movie

2019-03-07 19:41:09 UTC

it was damn impressive how they pulled off Civil War and Infinity War

2019-03-07 19:41:20 UTC

the Russos are damn good at what they do

2019-03-07 19:41:23 UTC

I assume end game is going to kill off the expensive actors

2019-03-07 19:41:40 UTC

Everything being wrapped up in one film is a terrible formula for a long running series

2019-03-07 19:41:55 UTC

RDJ was expensive because he made them all that money in the first place

2019-03-07 19:42:01 UTC

Even if it was 2-3 movies, I don't think they'd like the cost vs. just telling the story

2019-03-07 19:42:11 UTC

MCU has the advantage of playing the long game to the extreme

2019-03-07 19:42:25 UTC

You could split it up into different parts, like how they handle Avengers already

2019-03-07 19:42:46 UTC

they can take some time but it's not infinite, the actors can only look the part for so long

2019-03-07 19:43:21 UTC

so more MCU movies?

2019-03-07 19:43:37 UTC

More MCU movies that serve a larger creative purpose

2019-03-07 19:43:46 UTC

which they do

2019-03-07 19:44:03 UTC

Rather than being another origin story or "guardians made money, what can we do with that?"

2019-03-07 19:44:06 UTC

the movies to date have all been about putting the pieces in place for the 3rd and 4th Avengers movie

2019-03-07 19:44:08 UTC

for Thanos

2019-03-07 19:45:10 UTC

Let's be real here. If those movies had failed those characters wouldn't have absolutely 100% been needed in muh Thanos arc. The C list characters exist to see if they can make money off of those too

2019-03-07 19:45:36 UTC

Disney is not in this to craft storylines. That happens as a byproduct of an investment they have made

2019-03-07 19:45:43 UTC

Guardians set up Thanos, Gamora and Nebula in the first place who are essential for the Infinity Wars storyline

2019-03-07 19:45:54 UTC

Disney aren't but Fiege is

2019-03-07 19:46:11 UTC

he makes them money so they give him enough freedom to continue to do so

2019-03-07 19:46:56 UTC

most of the MCU is determined by Kevin Fiege with some creative freedom given to the individual movie directors to work within his world

2019-03-07 19:47:11 UTC

Yeah I don't think anyone is under the illusion Disney/Marvel do these movies for the creative storytelling

2019-03-07 19:47:28 UTC

They're just comic movies

2019-03-07 19:47:32 UTC

That will sell heaps

2019-03-07 19:47:38 UTC

What they want, ultimately, is a steady character rollout so they can keep making money at an increasing rate. I bet you anything that if the "foundation" characters for a given arc were unsuccessful/unpopular, that they would just write them out

2019-03-07 19:48:13 UTC

They do a lot of unprecedented things in cinema, which I think is pretty cool

2019-03-07 19:48:15 UTC

I've heard rumors that they have two version of end game. one where captain marvel is important and where she's less important. They'll decide which one to use based on how captain marvel does. I don't really believe this rumor, because the release date seem to close to me to be able to make that decision.

2019-03-07 19:48:20 UTC

Unless they've already spent the money, they'll just drop things that don't do well if they don't think they can flip you on it

2019-03-07 19:48:46 UTC

at most Carol will get an assist in the end fight, setting up for either Thor or Nebula to get the kill

2019-03-07 19:49:18 UTC

Ah, so Thor is getting that headshot you think?

2019-03-07 19:49:37 UTC

he deserves it, but so does Nebula and in the comic story....

2019-03-07 19:49:47 UTC

So true

2019-03-07 19:50:03 UTC

the MCU is pretty good at interpreting the comic events keeping certain key points

2019-03-07 19:50:13 UTC

I think the characters they want new actors for get the kill, they somehow sacrifice them selves to beat thanos

2019-03-07 19:50:24 UTC

I am actually genuinely disappointed that they gave Thanos a more cliche reason to villain it up

2019-03-07 19:50:28 UTC

it's something that's really impressed me with the MCU, the ability to sort of cut out the bloat that happens in comics

2019-03-07 19:50:43 UTC

have you seen Infinity War?

2019-03-07 19:50:53 UTC

I'm not seeing the cliche

2019-03-07 19:50:57 UTC

Nope, I just get to hear about everything that happens

2019-03-07 19:50:57 UTC

Thanos is an eco-facist
