i wonder is it possible for the President to sue a media company like CNN, as far as I'm aware in the US anyone can sue anyone for anything (whether it'll make it past Summary depends) but I wonder if there are limitations placed by the position.

they can but there's a higher standard of proof involved being actual malice or reckless disregard for the truth

also, I appreciate that the hill seems to have gone all in on the idea of pointing out just how badly the media fucked up (presumably to cover their own asses). I saw that the next article after the one that @RoadtoDawn linked was called "Trump-Russia collusion did effect an American election - the one in 2018" and I thought 'oh boy, and they still keep doing it'. Only to read the article and find out that the person writing it was saying that the _claim_ of Russian collusion caused a ton of people to vote differently than they otherwise might have
hope they do it only takes one to start turning things around let them make their competitors look like raving loons it can only be good for their credibility
