I don't know about Marianne Williamson, but I have heard of Tim Ryan. He wanted to be speaker of the house over nancy pelosi, but he is a straight white male. He use to be moderate too, pro-life pro second amendment, but now totally abandoned those positions

Its also fund raising for the dnc, all those candidates have to go earn money for the dnc that will eventually end up not getting used by the failed candidates and get rolled into the dnc machine
I suppose that’s true but that also assumes that more candidates = more fundraising. If they’re all drawing from the same potential pool for funding (i.e. people who are likely to give money to democrats) then you’re not really changing the size of the pool
