I agree that the crucifix itself is just an object and has no legitimate spiritual value. But knowing what it represents and putting it in urine, which would be considered disrespectful, is pretty suggestive of having disrespect for what the object represents.

I get the point, but doesn’t people’s offense imply that it isn’t cheapened? The crucifix literally has Jesus with nails in his hands and feet. Crown of thorns and a literal open spear wound. Blood is usually painted running down it too. How is this cheapening the crucifixion?
