The problem is that innocent man will be wrongly committed regardless if done by the State, or the individual. For example, let's say you let go a certain number of guilty men to hold consistent with not wrongly convicting anyone of Innocents. Those who are guilty could be let go, and then wrongly execute acts of malovence upon one or greater people among the populous.
And unfortunately this may not even be resolved through AI. It's a never ending process until proven otherwise.

Also the idea of throwing innocent people in jail, just to get the criminals sounds like sacrificing the individual for the society or the greater good so to speak. Thats how lefties talk.

I'm curious if there is a solution at all. If not for our justice system I'm sure individuals will take that burden onto themselves in place as a central dogma.
Ultimately violence is a constant of nature. It will never be resolved.
The solution is better technology used by police forces, which they can use to get more information at crime scences. More information= more information damning the guilty and more information proving the innocence of those not guilty
How many people have been treated like they deserved by the courts since the police started taking fingerprints?
