2019-08-28 02:51:26 UTC

Are you open to being a Christian?

2019-08-28 02:51:54 UTC

as open as anything i guess, i am not pursuing religion if that's what you mean

2019-08-28 02:52:02 UTC

Ok.

2019-08-28 02:52:23 UTC

Has anyone ever shared the gospel with you?

2019-08-28 02:52:56 UTC

yep, i have been to bethany, mt nebu, the dead sea, etc etc etc

2019-08-28 02:53:06 UTC

Interesting

2019-08-28 02:53:23 UTC

Ok.

2019-08-28 02:54:53 UTC

most Christians don't even know what bethany is

2019-08-28 02:55:33 UTC

It’s a location mentioned in the Bible.

2019-08-28 02:55:55 UTC

the baptismal site of jesus christ

2019-08-28 02:56:04 UTC

Lazarus was risen from the dead there too.

2019-08-28 02:57:13 UTC

well that's two different bethanys

2019-08-28 02:57:27 UTC

lazarus was risen in bethany the town in israel

2019-08-28 02:58:05 UTC

jesus was baptised in a spring called bethany (which was "beyond the jordan" river) in what is now Jordan

2019-08-28 02:59:58 UTC

Yeah. I got it mixed up. Doesn’t help that they have the same name. Lol

2019-08-28 03:00:06 UTC

sure doesn't

2019-08-28 03:00:27 UTC

jordan is an awesome country btw, i enjoyed the people there very much

2019-08-28 03:01:08 UTC

Never been. Only non us countries I’ve been to are in Europe or Central America

2019-08-28 03:01:32 UTC

although i went during ramadon , and while i do intermittent fasting on my own, this required fasting for a month is bs

2019-08-28 03:02:42 UTC

Yeah. I don’t know either

2019-08-28 03:03:06 UTC

I’ve only glanced through the Koran a couple times.

2019-08-28 03:08:56 UTC

as i understand it, reading the koran is a waste of time unless you do it in the native language. i.e. anything you derive from it cannot be considered factual if its been translated

2019-08-28 03:09:54 UTC

From the Muslim perspective right? I think they’re pretty adamant on arabic the Koran.

2019-08-28 03:10:36 UTC

thats why when people challenge what it says, they just blame translation for you not understanding

2019-08-28 03:11:16 UTC

I can understand that if there are translation questions or if someone is taking something out of context.

2019-08-28 03:11:26 UTC

People do it to the Bible all the time.

2019-08-28 03:23:55 UTC

The bible has like 50 "interpretations" not not many translations

2019-08-28 03:54:56 UTC

How do you say "groovy" in Latin? 🤔

2019-08-28 03:57:49 UTC

bruce campbell knows

2019-08-28 04:00:36 UTC
