I’ve only glanced through the Koran a couple times.

2019-08-28 03:08:56 UTC

as i understand it, reading the koran is a waste of time unless you do it in the native language. i.e. anything you derive from it cannot be considered factual if its been translated

2019-08-28 03:09:54 UTC

From the Muslim perspective right? I think they’re pretty adamant on arabic the Koran.

2019-08-28 03:10:36 UTC

thats why when people challenge what it says, they just blame translation for you not understanding

2019-08-28 03:11:16 UTC

I can understand that if there are translation questions or if someone is taking something out of context.

2019-08-28 03:11:26 UTC

People do it to the Bible all the time.

2019-08-28 03:23:55 UTC

The bible has like 50 "interpretations" not not many translations

2019-08-28 03:54:56 UTC

How do you say "groovy" in Latin? 🤔

2019-08-28 03:57:49 UTC

bruce campbell knows

2019-08-28 04:00:36 UTC

latin is very useful, when i visited the mutant baby museum in thailand my wife used the latin references to translate the conditions to me

2019-08-28 04:00:49 UTC

@Clive
Grövuis.

2019-08-28 05:20:29 UTC

@Clive *How do you say "groovy" in Latin?*

"striatus"

2019-08-28 05:22:10 UTC

or "canaliculatus"

2019-08-28 05:22:16 UTC

or "histriatus"

2019-08-28 05:22:41 UTC

of course those all mean "grooved" but... yeah.

2019-08-28 05:36:38 UTC

well that's some good news, SAT's have dropped the diversity score idea https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/459041-sat-drops-student-adversity-score

2019-08-28 06:24:53 UTC

I want to experiment with these.

2019-08-28 06:26:19 UTC

fairtax - i don't agree with the prebate or the the retail fee. I do like that used items are tax free.

2019-08-28 06:36:13 UTC

I like to think this might have not happened if people would’ve just declared their “thermal detonators” in at the TSA luggage in area.

2019-08-28 06:56:21 UTC

@Clive
Ok, ok, I was just joking. 😂
"Grooved" in Latin is sulcatus.

@I Know a Fat Guy her claim about malaria is insanely ignorant. In the 1800s people contracted malaria almost everywhere there are mosquitoes in the US. The government went on a malaria eradication program that used pesticides and such. Nowadays, some scientists have developed a tools with genetic engineering that can actually prevent mosquitos from carrying malaria or just eliminate mosquitoes all together. Of course, environmentalists are the only ones against using it. https://www.cdc.gov/malaria/about/history/elimination_us.html

2019-08-28 11:08:47 UTC

It’s ridiculous. This kind of crap is why I think environmentalists should be criticized more.

2019-08-28 11:08:58 UTC

Unless I’m missing the criticism.

2019-08-28 11:08:59 UTC

shouldn't she be worrying about the medival diseases that are making a come back in california etc?

2019-08-28 11:09:24 UTC

Yeah. The ones that aren’t associated with climate change ?

2019-08-28 11:09:26 UTC

Sure.

2019-08-28 11:09:38 UTC

But that’s not going to advance her agenda

2019-08-28 11:10:21 UTC

Are there any YouTube channels that actually criticize environmentalists?

2019-08-28 11:10:26 UTC

I can’t think of any.

2019-08-28 11:21:46 UTC

any that do usually also go into climate denial etc, and are probably being censored due to being conspiracy theories or whatever

2019-08-28 11:23:43 UTC

Probably true. Geez.

2019-08-28 11:25:04 UTC

It’s frustrating. I wonder if criticism in a YouTube video would actually change enough people’s minds.

2019-08-28 11:53:52 UTC

The insanity of environmentalism is why I sort of want to make YouTube videos

2019-08-28 12:08:52 UTC

The thing that bothers me about environmentalism is that people will always blather about 'Al Gore and AOC aren't climate experts, their wild predictions can't be taken as evidence that environmentalists don't care about truth so much as pushing the narrative.'
