I like the galil

2019-10-02 01:55:52 UTC

Atlanticfirearms has Galil part kits.

2019-10-02 01:58:16 UTC

As it goes with ARs the best option is to try several different things, by renting or going to the range with a friend.

2019-10-02 01:58:21 UTC

Oh, that reminds me: I was looking into the SG550 and found a site that sells parts. I need to go find that bookmark some time

2019-10-02 02:01:07 UTC

I found that I prefer simple furniture on my rifles, nothing to fancy.

2019-10-02 02:03:09 UTC

If I had the money I’d get the galil ace

2019-10-02 02:03:30 UTC

I don't have any gun enthusiast friends, so I mostly went in blind when I built my AR

2019-10-02 02:03:54 UTC

I like the look of free floating aluminum hand guards, but they add so much weight.

2019-10-02 02:04:32 UTC

So I ended up sticking with magpul.

2019-10-02 02:06:17 UTC

That may have been my biggest "mistake" since I was trying to keep mine light

2019-10-02 02:06:57 UTC

But it looks so nice

2019-10-02 02:13:10 UTC

Yea were the extra weight came in handy was my AR-10.

2019-10-02 02:26:45 UTC

Someday when I'm famous and rich I'll try and get my hands on a Valmet, the Finnish AK varient. Finland has a history of taking Russian guns and making them good.

@DJ_Anuz
*"Just engineer the plants to be seedless."*
Doesn't work for cereals...

*"A. Any crop that is grown as a hybrid will see significant yield losses after even one year of replanting so it's more cost effective to buy it again any laws or patents aside."*
So... Complaints about research costs are moot.
I'm still waiting for someone to tell me what we're supposed to do in the event of a crisis (whatever type) where the supplied seed inventory is suddenly destroyed...
Wait wait, let me guess... Use non-GMO seeds, ¿right?
B. R&D crop would often be impossible.

UUUUGH....people not understanding the Electoral College makes my head hurt -_-

2019-10-02 06:28:05 UTC

Same

2019-10-02 08:54:45 UTC

@C1PHER If it makes you feel better, I hear that having the barrel free floating from the handguard can help a lot with accuracy, should you attach a bipod to it.

2019-10-02 08:58:14 UTC

Lol, It's a 300BLK with a 10" barrel, so I'm not exactly planning on sniping anything

2019-10-02 08:59:20 UTC

Ah, yeah maybe not that advantageous after all, heh.

2019-10-02 08:59:31 UTC

It just turned out a little heavier than I wanted it to for the size

2019-10-02 09:00:15 UTC

I am curious what size groups that can make at 100m

2019-10-02 09:00:54 UTC

Just cuz

2019-10-02 09:01:56 UTC

If I ever find a 100m range to shoot at, I'll give it a try

2019-10-02 09:03:26 UTC

10”, that’s crazy short. Pistol or sbr?

2019-10-02 09:04:58 UTC

Pistol, for now anyway

2019-10-02 09:05:56 UTC

Makes for quite a large "handgun" though

2019-10-02 09:06:31 UTC

I’ve shopped around for 300 BO in rifle configuration. Any idea why there are so many 300 BO pistols floating around?

2019-10-02 09:07:55 UTC

300 BO was designed to work with short barrels, so if you're at the 16" required for a rifle you probably don't have any advantages over 5.56

2019-10-02 09:07:55 UTC

A little tricky to conceal in your righty whiteys, I would imagine. Plan on getting a can for that, or will that even work well with a barrel that short?

2019-10-02 09:08:59 UTC

^ That probably answered my question.

2019-10-02 09:09:12 UTC

My understanding was a 300 blackout was bigger than 556

2019-10-02 09:09:46 UTC

10" is almost "long" for 300 blackout. I was debating between that or an 8"

2019-10-02 09:11:09 UTC

556 is not acceptable for hunting deer where I live. But 300 blackout is

2019-10-02 09:11:56 UTC

It is, but 5.56 is very dependent on barrel length to achieve good velocity, and blackout is not. So blackout has a distinct advantage when in pistol/sbr form

2019-10-02 09:12:30 UTC

Ok

2019-10-02 09:14:02 UTC

5.56 being as cheap as it is, I wouldn't have gone for blackout if I had built a full-length rifle

2019-10-02 09:15:19 UTC

I’m tempted to put a RD optic on my 500.

2019-10-02 09:16:02 UTC

Many so I’d have an optic ready for my future AR purchase

2019-10-02 09:17:38 UTC

Need a longer barrel to make it a better hunting shotgun

2019-10-02 09:18:33 UTC

It’s my understanding you can hunt with 18.5 but longer is better

2019-10-02 09:18:50 UTC

Oh, sorry Gabe: to answer your question I'm still heavily debating the can, but it will definitely work for a blackout that short
