Tho that's more just because it can sound like shit before it warms up
accidentally blow up headphones ;)
For most gear you should turn it off when not in use unless you just wanna replace caps more often
Tho these days caps last forever
@ππππ π£π put T2 Pros on and use tape to seal your ears
Boost everything you can
Then max volume
<:turt:443131018950606878>
yeah i dunno where it comes from
Then search for a bass boostedβ’ compilation on youtube
Download the video
Convert it to flac
Probably from when components sucked and had a quite specific optimal operating temperature
And enjoy pure bass sounds

also
pain to turn things off
yeah,i mean i got my mic in my mic amp 24/7 , can not quite imagine manually turning it off every time i go sleep
```With the top end Naim amps it needs days or even weeks of being left on (and used) for it to sound at their best, all that final few % of fidelity and sound quality we pay ££££ would fail to show itself from frequent power on / power off.
We simply just need to accept that top of the line luxury equipment isn't like owning a kettle, that few extra quid a month on Electricity bills is just part and parcel of having big boy's gear.
```
also got 3 years warranty on that shit,so i m fine
I shut everything off when I switch off my pc
All on one powerboard
>switch off pc
people still do that?
Yes
<:turt:443131018950606878>
I don't like having the extra noise
that smooth humming of nocturne fans,make me sleep better
Would there even be a legit reason to not turn off something like a PC?
start up time
I guess
if your dling something
```I found that the performance of all Naim kit I have ever owned over the years improved dramatically for around the first week after power-up, and then continued to improve in subtle ways for some time afterwards. This was at several different locations (ie. large city suburb/small town/rural village) so I would say the effect is probably largely independent of mains quality. So pronounced was the difference that I would go so far as to say that switching kit off after a listening session is severely limiting its performance. That's not to say that it sounds rubbish immediately after switch-on, in fact it sounds very listenable. Just that it can sound so much better given time.
```
lol
>not using a blowtorch to jump-start your devices
π€’
Lol at least it's not a yggy where you have to wait 5 days to get full 24 bit linearity
